Fall is the busiest and most beautiful season at the vineyard. The grapes are ripening, the rows are bursting with color, and the air is filled with the scent of must. It’s harvest time—the busiest time of the year—come experience this unique moment in Quebec viticulture. Located about an hour from Montreal, Vignoble de la Bauge is the perfect destination for a fall getaway in the Eastern Townships.

From regenerative viticulture to the production of natural and organic wines

Saturdays and Sundays, 10:30 a.m., duration: 1 hour

Set off on an open-air walking tour in the heart of the countryside, to discover a winery like no other! Starting in the vineyards, you’ll discover the principles of regenerative viticulture, and continuing in the winery, you’ll go behind the scenes of the creation of our wines. It ends in the boutique with a tasting of two wines.

Program:

  • Discovery of regenerative viticulture, a first in Canada, and the impact of this approach on the cultivation of Nordic resistant grape varieties and viniferas
  • Explanation of the beneficial presence of sheep in the vineyards, the role of swallows, pollinating insects, the lake and light in the ecosystem
  • Highlighting the complementarity between nature, agriculture and human well-being
  • Discover the barrel cellar, fermentation room and wine maturation room with its ovoid concrete vats
  • Explanation of the principles of natural winemaking and the technical choices that shape our products
  • Presentation of the grape varieties used, the different fermentation and maturation containers, and their influence on aromas, with a tasting of raw wines

Reservations are not required but are recommended for guided tours and appetizer platters, especially on weekends and holidays. For groups of more than 10 people, please contact us in advance.

We are a family-friendly vineyard where children are welcome.

Leashed dogs are welcome outdoors.

We don’t have a restaurant, but you can buy local products at our shop.

Bring your picnic and enjoy it on the terrace or outdoor tables.

Our terrace is covered but not heated. We also have picnic tables available for your use.

Activities continue rain or shine, with outdoor activities adjusted as needed.
